Becoming:  outreach & mission

At Touchstone, we envision a place of Becoming...growing into the fullness of who God intended us to be. We are saving a place for you!
PFLAG - Support and advocacy for LGBTQIA families and friends in Boerne Texas. PFLAG is a national organization of advocacy and support and stands for Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. Get in touch with the local chapter. Meetings take place from 6:30 to 8 pm on the third Thursday of each month, and during the pandemic, are all online. Contact us at info@pflagboerne.org for a link to the meetings, or answers to your questions.
Born out of PFLAG, this group is a safe place for LGBTQIA youth in our community to come together for support. At present, meetings are limited to online gatherings. Contact us at info@pflagboerne.org for online meeting details.
As an open an affirming community of faith, Touchstone seeks ways to share the good news to the Queer Community in Boerne Texas. We engage in PFLAG, yOUTh n Boerne, Transgender Day of Remembrance (Friday, Nov. 20, 2020) and The Pride Walk (date to be determined in June, 2021).

Beginning in November, 2019, Touchstone sponsored Boerne's first Transgender Day of Remembrance. The candlelight event at River Road Park honored the lives of beloved Transgender people who had been taken too soon simply for living their authentic lives. On Nov. 20, 2020, we will host another memorial service. Due to COVID-19, we will be flexible in our planning to keep people safe. More to come. In the meantime, you may contact us at this link.

Ways we support life for our neighbors...

As a partner, Touchstone helps by providing meals when needed for documented migrants on their journey, through our neighborhood in South Central Texas, to their sponsor families and new life in America. Also, during the pandemic, Touchstone is on-call to deliver food to migrants in quarantine before they move on to their final destination.  Contact us
We support efforts in our community made by Hill Country Family Services (HCFS) to tend to the needs of those with housing or income insecurities. HCFS provides food assistance and resources to those in need.  Contact us
Another is  Kronkosky Place , the building we call home for our in-person worship gatherings when not affected by the pandemic. Kronkosky Place is provides meals-on-wheels and other many wonderful resources for the elderly in our community. We are so appreciative for their space, and share in their love for our beloved population growing in years and wisdom.
